The PowerScan series of scanners from Datalogic includes a range of industrial use readers that are designed to function accurately in the toughest environments. The Datalogic PowerScan PD8500 is a wired scanner that provides omni-directional scanning of 1D, 2D barcodes, post codes and stacked codes. It comes equipped with high resolution mega pixel imaging sensors and comes in three different models to meet a diverse range of requirements in the industrial field. Its three optic models include the Standard Range, High Density and Wide Angle, each having specific uses as explained in their names.

The PD8500 comes with Datalogic patented Green Spot and unique 3 Green Lights that provide good read feedback. Its dual good read LEDs are placed at the top and the back of the reader cap to enhance visibility at all angles and it also has a double click trigger for using the five dot aimer to mark the center point and the four corners of the area to be scanned.

The PD8500 has been specifically designed for difficult industrial environments. Hence, it has a tough body and its mechanical design ensures accuracy irrespective of the external environment. This proves its reliability. Its ergonomic design comes in a lightweight form factor that is durable and perfectly suited for scan intensive applications.
