Cordless Barcode Scanner
The PowerScan PBT8300 belongs to the Datalogic family of powerful and rugged laser scanners meant for industrial applications to scan linear barcodes. Its precise reading performance combined with the best connectivity through Bluetooth wireless technology, makes it one of the most reliable handheld scanners which can outperform all others in tough and demanding industrial applications.
The feature rich Datalogic PowerScan PBT8300 can be configured to comply with Class 1 or 2 requirements on the basis of Bluetooth 2.0 standard. This provides the requisite mobility range ranging beyond 90 meters in the open air environment. The receiving base station connects to the host system through a range of interfaces available including Wand emulation, keyboard wedge, serial or USB. The scanner can also be connected to any Bluetooth enabled device.
The Datalogic PowerScan PBT8300 is ideally suited for warehouse applications since it can be easily fitted on to a forklift with the aid of a Vehicle mount terminal. It comes in three variants, with a basic cordless model which is the PBT8300, an intermediate model, PBT8300-D, with a 3 key keypad and a display, and PBT8300DK, the advanced model which includes a display and a 16 key alphanumeric keyboard, which will be particularly useful for receiving applications like inventory. The latter comes equipped with an embedded code-quantity application. All three can read from distances up to 41 ft in standard or auto range.
