The QS6500 is a linear image scanner belonging to the QucikScan series from Datalogic. The series includes a range of value handheld general purpose data collection devices that can be used across a broad spectrum of applications from retail and healthcare to light industrial environments. The QS6500 scans at superfast speeds with 450 scans per second each displaying the requisite depth of field. It can be used to scan linear barcodes and stacked composite codes like PDF417, UPC/EAN and Micro PDF.

The QS6500 supports all the commonly used interfaces like USB, KBW, IBM and RS-232. Switching from interface to the other is simple and all other applications are also extremely user friendly. Thus users can visualize reader configurations, make duplicate or even create new configurations, while also being able to manipulate advanced editing options. It comes with a flash memory and upgrading software is hassle-free. Newly released updates of existing symbologies or new ones can also be added.
