The Intermec CK70 is the latest next generation rugged mobile computer which is meant to enhance efficiency at the work place and improve the existing customer service offered especially in parcel delivery and courier services. It is equipped with features that enhance computer reliability manifold, with its ultra rugged design making it survive the toughest extreme conditions. It facilitates the frequently required track and trace features, delivery reports and proof of delivery applications.

The Intermec CK70 has been designed primarily for operations like the postal and parcel services, courier express and other related fields. With a size that is 12% smaller, lighter weight and slender keyboard design than others falling into the ultra rugged category, the Intermec CK70 is perfect for single handed use for prolonged periods, and the mobile work force can conduct all their business effortlessly.

The CK 70 is equipped with the exclusive Intermec imaging engine that has the distinction of being the fastest in the industry. Thus it can scan barcodes that move at a speed of up to 500 inches per second (12.7 m/s), and proves itself for motion tolerance and very high read rates for dynamic applications. The CK 70 has a powerful aiming system complete with bright white colored LED lighting, a red laser aimer that works in all kinds of lighting conditions and can be aimed pointing downwards at an angle of 35 degrees to make parcel barcode scanning easier and at the same time checking out the scanning on the computer screen.

The CK 70 addresses a frequently faced problem of illegible keys, damaged displays which slow down the pace of work on the mobile computer. The CK 70 comes with a tough wear-resistant Gorilla glass touch panel and a bright VGA display which provides twice the life of the older touch panel technology used. Frequent repairs become unnecessary with its polycarbonate keys of industrial grade and laser etched legends that are indestructible.

Other outstanding features of the CK 70 include a three times faster performing multiprocessor, lower battery consumption that is half of other legacy processors, state of the art battery health diagnostics and lower battery replacement costs. It has superb connectivity and throughput with its 3.75G WWAN radio and a selection from either UMT/HSPA or CDMA/EVDO Rev A.

The CK 70 is set to facilitate operations and maintenance with problems resolved through the system’s device reporting capability. This helps mobile users avoid small problems affecting the operations under way. Thus it is possible to check key sub systems, scanning, battery life and communications through the dash board or remotely through the Intermec SmartSystems console. This ensures that mobile computing assets deliver optimal results and full utilization. Day to day performance and maintenance issues can also be handed over to the Intermec INcontrol managed services.

The CK 70 is one out of 4 ergonomically designed mobile computers forming the Intermec 70 series, each of which comes with a combination of radios, keypads, software, imagers, and services that will perfectly suit the mobile computing requirements of a business. The single platform of the series helps to offer common training, services, updates and spare pools.
