The Datalogic QuickScan Mobile handheld reader is the ideal multi-purpose handheld scanner for POS applications as well as inventory, price checking and shelf replenishment activities. The cordless reader has a 40 ft range capability and is not in the least cumbersome since it is free from entangled cables. Its multi interface capability includes Keyboard wedge, USB, Wand Emulation and RS-232. It functions even as it is being charged with its lithium ion battery not requiring frequent replacements. The Datalogic Batch Mode facility allows data collection when the reader moves out of range from the base station.

QuickScan Mobile QM2100 with Datalogic’s Star System
Large corporations rely on wireless devices for various data collecting tasks while most small businesses cannot obtain this technology due to purchase expense. Datalogic Scanning has designed a value line of readers specifically for this population. General purpose information gathering can now be obtained with the handheld QuickScan Mobile QM2100 reader. Datalogic is enabling businesses to only purchase the technology essential for basic tasks. Larger corporations require more sophisticated equipment that is generally not necessary for smaller companies.
QuickScan Mobile readers offer the STAR Cordless System for easy interfacing between one scanner and one host. This mobility increases productivity by eliminating cabled units. Radio ranges of forty feet provide operators with a larger working environment and there is no interference from Wi-Fi.
Datalogic has produced a scanner that can provide enhanced bar code reading for inventory, shelf replacement, pricing, and point of sale. The lithium-ion battery combined with the patented Batch Mode is successful at collecting information when the scanner is not within range of the host. The provided cradle for the QuickScan Mobile QM2100 allows the user to continue scanning while the device is charging with hands free reading capabilities.
There are two models to choose from for various industrial jobs. The QM 2110 connects to an IBM system with the IBM46xx, RS-232 emulation, and USB. Host connectivity with an RS-232, USB, Wand Emulation, and Keyboard Wedge are found standard with the QM2130. Installation is easy through a Plug and Scan kit. Companies can install the unit quickly and begin utilizing the scanner immediately.
