The Datalogic QuickScan QD2100 scanner is great for small businesses that need to scan simple things.  It is handheld and wonderful for small business owners that are just starting out for individuals that need something small to carry around with them like postal workers who need to scan packages from time to time.

It is not very heavy so it is easy to carry and it has been designed for comfort so you will not be sore if you need to use it for a long length of time because it fits nicely in any hand no matter what your size it.  It works great for difficult barcodes that may be hard for other systems to read such as if they are at an angle.  It also has green spot that is patented by this company for greater scanning.  If you set it to stand mode the green light will stay on so you know where to aim it.

They made it to be very durable so that it will be functional for all people to use.  If you have ever damaged a scanner window you know that it can be a problem. It may even need to be thrown away.  But, this scanner was designed so that you can order a replacement on the internet or at a local store and you will not even need to send it away to be fixed.  This helps it last longer and it makes owning one much nicer because you are not spending money on new ones all of the time and you are not stopping progress while it is being fixed because you can replace it yourself.
