Cordless Barcode Scanner

Datalogic's Lynx BT reader is an ideal cordless industrial scanner for 2D applications. With its Bluetooth wireless communication facility, it transmits data effortlessly through its base or any commercial or Bluetooth complaint device. It is capable of omni directional reading of a diverse range of symbologies including 1D, 2D, stacked and postal codes, and can also capture images and signatures. It can scan damaged and torn barcodes as well with equal ease. Its aiming is quick and intuitive with a double-click trigger that helps the Datalogic 5-dot aimer to mark the four corners and the center point. Its base has a multi-standard interface for connecting to the host through a USB, RS-232 or Wedge Emulation.

The datalogic Lynx™ BT432 handheld scanner is the innate succession of the combined and secured Datalogic scanning experience in 2D-CMOS scanners. The Bluetooth® cordless technology radio communication helps to liberate the user from the problem of cable entanglement. In fact, in several manufacturing, warehouse management, package categorization applications and also in postal offices, the user needs to move about the work area without restraint not concerning about the distorted and/or entangled wires.

The Lynx™ BT432 scanner which is compliant and authorized for the Bluetooth® cordless technology 1.2 standard is best suited for these applications.

All standard and high-resolution models of the Lynx brand execute “omni directional” scanning on a diverse variety of symbols, starting from the most general 1D and 2D barcodes to the postal and stacked barcodes, enhancing productivity and competence in any application. Using the Lynx™ BT432 reader, the operator can capture the entire image of the item to be identified irrespective of its orientation. This helps to evade any alignment restriction between the scanner and the symbol to be scanned. The Lynx™ BT432 scanner can also interpret all the codes in the captured image, thus enhancing its efficiency.

The scanned image can be developed on-board or downloaded in various file formats such as .bmp, .jpg, .tif for developing it on the host system. There is a choice of selecting four options which allows image alteration – zoom from 20% to 200%, contrast, windowing and brightness ((±100%). Pointing at the image to be scanned becomes simple by using the “double click” button for Point and Read and the “five dot pointer” which indicates the four corners and middle of the reading area.

Based on the requirements of the customer, the Bluetooth® cordless technology can be administered through its charger or base (OM-1000) or any industrial or embedded 1.2 standard machine.

The Base or charger of the Bluetooth possesses multi-standard interface which helps it to connect to the host system by USB (COM and Wedge Emulation), Wedge Emulation or RS-232.

Lastly, the VisualSetup™ software option, which is a part of the Lynx™ package, helps to configure all the parameters in a simple way to acquaint the user for any application via RS-232 interface and also offers a quick observation of the downloaded images.
