The Intermec CK61 mobile processing system is equipped with everything one might need to work in even the most demanding of environments. High Impact Design
The CK61 vehicle mounted terminal combines a magnesium case equipped with rubber bumpers on each corner to assure that it exceeds even the most stringent specifications for equipment used in rugged environments. As an added precaution the case is then sealed to IP64 specifications to help prevent damage caused by dust and water. This innovative case can withstand falls from as high as six feet in the air on a repeated basis. All of these things combine to ensure that you will be able to use your Intermec  CK61 for many years to come without issue.

Information Storage
Persistent storage, the CK61’s onboard memory, will save applications as well as databases even in the event that the batteries die while still in use. The CK61 offers an additional 128 MB of non-volatile memory storage, a feature that is exclusive to this design, which allows for the storage of very large databases, as well as applications that would normally be too large for a mobile computing device. Add to this the SDIO slot that supports removable storage space, enabling the user to back up all data in case the unit becomes damaged, or provide an even larger onboard storage capacity.

Compatibility
The CK61 offers two different options for operating software. Customers have the choice of Windows CE 5.0 or Windows Mobile 5.0. Windows CE offers a large amount of flexibility for those who wish to have a greater amount of control over their overall user experience. While Mobile just offers the basic operating platform and can be used throughout your business with no additional training needed. Both OS are joined with advanced development tools along with Intermec’s own Developer Library which allows for the easy integration of custom hardware and applications.

User Interface
The QVGA display’s largest feature is a touch screen which enables the CK61 to utilize bother text-based as well as graphic based applications. Users who are on the move will be able to enter vast amounts of information quickly thanks to the large easy-to-use keypad with advanced tactile feel. This mobile computing device is designed to be suitable for single as well as dual hand input. They keypad is designed with the same durability that Intermec has become known for and is guaranteed to last throughout the lifetime of the unit.

Connectivity
The CK61 offers a variety of ways to exchange information between the handheld system and other devices. The customer can choose between an Ethernet connection, RS322 serial connection, and the convenience of a USB Host. All of these connection options now come standard on every handset.  An optional communication option now offered on the CK61 is Wi-Fi certified radio which will enable the machine to use Cisco compatible wireless communications that are offered in the local area.
