The high-performance printers of Zebra’s Xi Series are already popular for delivering the power and reliability that are required of a premium performance printer meeting the demands of even the most demanding applications. The new Xi4 series had four different models, including Zebra’s flagship printer 110Xi4. This printer now works at greater 14 ips print speeds and is suitable for applications having high duty cycles in unfavorable environments.
140Xi4: Faster, more durable, and more reliable, 140Xi4 now works at a 14 ips speed with mission-critical reliability and easy integration.
170Xi4: A compliance barcode label printer with excellent performance, 170Xi4 is most appropriate for ODETTE, AIAG, and UCC/EAN-128 labeling in batches or on demand.
220Xi4: This reliable printer has advanced printer management tools that are apt for banner-size, chemical-drum, and other wide-label applications.
In a recent statement, Zebra’s Senior Product Manager, Ed Migut said that the Xi Series printers are the mainstay of the company’s product portfolio and are famous for being reliable in even the most demanding environments. He further stated that it was important for Zebra to introduce new levels of print speed and performance in the market in order to drive greater efficiency to the manufacturing sector as this sector is the core of the company’s business. The Xi4 Series is especially optimized for high-volume print operations and has a perfect balance of functionality and performance. Further, the memory and processing power of this series makes it possible to print at great speeds, have a high print quality, and support integration with ERP and network management systems.
Improved versions of the previous Xi Series printers, Xi4 printers increase operational productivity by providing up to 40 percent greater print speeds; further, faster 10/100 Ethernet data transfer helps obtain improved early warning systems for reduced downtime and faster print throughput.
Some other upgrades to the Xi series are greater print speeds that considerably increase the “print and apply” and batch productivity, easy-to-read and customizable LCD that makes the setup and operation processes simpler, a faster Ethernet connection that increases the operational speed, easier setup of the media sensor that makes guesswork unnecessary, improved detection of “printhead element out” that leads to quicker problem notification, and better ribbon low and media sensing ability that enhances uptime.
